I spent two years (August 2015 – August 2017) as a Staff Writer for TechRepublic where I looked at the ways technology impacts society. My writing covered everything from artificial intelligence to drones to self-driving cars to 3-D printing, and my work was cited in various publications, including: CBS News, Newsweek, ESPN, New York Review of Books and others.
As a subject expert, I was called in to speak on an hour-long live show for WHYY (Philadelphia’s NPR station) to discuss Uber’s introduction of a driverless fleet in Pittsburgh in September 2016, as well as Tech News Today and the Daily Tech News Show to discuss my longform story about Amazon Mechanical Turk. NPR’s “Here and Now” invited me to speak about my story on “the cult of Tesla” in April 2017. Here’s that interview, with host Lisa Mullins.
